In the 1980s Nadia and Bruno purchased the farm Il Collettino to continue the family tradition (raising sheep, goats, pigs, chickens and rabbits). In 2005 an addition was made to the old house due to the need for more space for the production of the farm products (mainly cheese, cured meats and chestnut flour). Gradually, with the help of sons Maurizio and Federico, the first two apartments were constructed on the top floor, which gave way to the farm holiday business. Here are located the apartments Linchetto and Buffardello.
The initial feedback from the guests was very positive and encouraged the family to carry out new structures. The following years saw the realisation of the infinity pool, the court with its wood burning oven, the recreation area and even a new shelter for the sheep. The most recent work was the restoration of the old barn in which Maurizio and his wife Laura created the apartments Fienile and Stalla.
Near the medieval village of Sillico, at a height of 700 mt on the Apennine side of the Garfagnana, the farm holiday Il Collettino offers its guests absolute tranquillity and a breath-taking panorama of the valley and the surrounding Apuan Alps. Four apartments having all comforts are located next to the farm where still today the family continues the tradition of agricultural production and livestock.
